This blog, created in Minneapolis-St. Paul Minnesota, is a collaborative project of the Hamline University Graduate School of Liberal Studies Spring 2010 course: COLLISIONS OF VIOLENCE AND BEAUTY: Terry Tempest Williams and the Mosaic of Community. Students were asked to respond to Terry Tempest Williams' work by creating a piece of prose speaking to the phrase BROKEN MIDWEST— thus attempting to bring beauty to beloved and troubled landscapes here in the American middle.
